Myofascial Release therapy to help you get there.

When Nothing Else Has Worked, Myofascial Release Helps Your Body Find the Way

Your body is speaking.
Through pain, tightness, fatigue, or those strange symptoms that don’t seem to add up.

You’ve tried to fix it. You’ve stretched, strengthened, rested, medicated, injected, massaged, cracked, iced, heated.
You’ve done your part.
But deep down, you know something more is needed.

You don’t need more quick fixes.
You need someone to slow down, listen, and respond with care.
That’s what
Myofascial Release (MFR) does.

At VerveBody, we practice the John F. Barnes Approach to Myofascial Release - a gentle, hands-on therapy that listens to your body through the fascial system, the connective tissue network that weaves through every muscle, joint, and organ.

We listen to your story - through your words, your posture, and the patterns of tension and restriction in your fascia.

Through slow, sustained pressure, we gently engage the fascia - inviting your body to release tension, restore mobility, and rehydrate the connective tissue. This process calms the nervous system, relieves pressure on pain-sensitive areas, and supports deep, lasting change.

This isn’t about stretching or forcing your body into a new state - it’s about creating the conditions for your body to respond and heal naturally, on its own timing and terms.

Conditions Relieved Through Myofascial Release

Whether your issue is acute, chronic, or confusing - you don’t have to stay stuck.

Myofascial Release gently relieves the hidden pressure of fascial restrictions, helping your body restore function, reduce inflammation, and heal at the cellular level.

Real Relief Requires a Shift

This work is gentle - but not passive. You’ll participate by listening, feeling, and allowing. It asks more of you - and gives more in return.

This work is for you if you're ready to engage with a process that invites awareness, patience, and lasting change.

Skepticism is welcome. So is hope.
We’ll meet you right where you are.

Three Gentle Steps -Let’s Get You Started.

01 Schedule Your First Session

We’ll start by listening to you - your symptoms, your story, and your goals. Then, we assess your posture, movement, and unique pain patterns to establish a baseline. From there, we begin applying hands-on Myofascial Release tailored specifically to your body’s needs.

02 Feel the Shift

Together, we’ll discuss a treatment plan to help you break free from pain. We’ll also empower you with customized self-treatment techniques - because healing is an active process, and momentum matters.

Each session is an opportunity to release restrictions, restore function, and reclaim ease in your body.

03 Support the Momentum

As your fascial system begins to unwind, you’ll start to move with greater awareness and ease. We’ll continue refining your treatment as you evolve, addressing new layers.

This is where true change happens - not just symptom relief, but sustainable progress that helps you return to the activities and life you love.

🔎 Video: The Science Behind Myofascial Release

To understand how John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (JFB MFR) works, we must first understand fascia - our body's vast, interconnected network of connective tissue. This short video reveals recent scientific discoveries that highlight its critical role in mobility, pain, and healing.

Studies show that after three minutes of sustained pressure, fascial tissue produces interleukins, crystalline proteins that activate the body's anti-inflammatory response. However, excessive force can reduce this effect. This is why the Barnes Approach® never forces the tissue but instead applies moderate, sustained pressure until the fascia naturally releases.

“Gentle sustained pressure applied without force allows the body to respond naturally and release at deeper levels.”
